Message from deputy Principal Academic

At Sekolah Menegah Pengiran Isteri Hajah Mariam, we educate young people who become the leaders of tomorrow. We stimulate new ideas and new solutions. We tackle the toughest challenges from adding values to our young population and to enrich their lives in a healthy and hazard-free environment.
Looking ahead, the potential is virtually unlimited. There are clear signs that the potential will not be reached without a significant increase in our young students’ competencies. More young people are getting the message that education is critical to their future. We know that business and industry need highly skilled and well educated-people ant that most jobs in the future will go to those with a university degree. And, here in this school, we are teaching our young people how to walk steadily towards a higher education.
The full potential of our school is to make a powerful contribution to our peoples future and SM PIHM can play a leading role in creating wealth, developing well informed and active citizens, building a highly educated population that is able to contribute in countless ways from volunteerism to professional employment to new ideas, and creating opportunities for young Bruneians.
Today, our school continues to stand proud. With a bold vision for the future, we continue to strive forward with the speed of life, as the leaders of our next tomorrow continue to arrive in the pursuit of learning, exploring and discovery.
I do believe that each individual who has graduated from our school will reflect in wonder and amazement, of the truly momentous footprint that has been imprinted in time, by our school, Sekolah Menegah Pengiran Isteri Hajah Mariam.

UCAPAN UNTUK H.E.P
Bismillah hirrahman nirrahim
Assalammualaikum, Salam Sejahtera.
Selawat dan salam kepada Nabi Muhammad S.A.W. dan sahabat-sahabatnya serta kerabat baginda yang jujur hingga ke akhir zaman.
Dirakamkan ucapan terima kasih kepada Pengerusi dan Ahli Jawatankuasa HEP kerana memberi saya peluang berucap di majlis ini. Usaha pentadbir dan guru-guru sekolah dalam meraih dan menuju kecemerlangan pendidikan penuntut bagi sekolah tidak akan berhenti. Di tahun ini saja kita telah banyak membuat aktiviti pengajaran tambahan bukan saja di sebelah petang tetapi juga telah di lanjutkan ke hari Jumaat.
Di samping itu juga telah diadakan ceramah kerjaya, motivasi pembelajaran penuntut program kaunseling penuntut. Dari segi aktiviti ECA tahun ini telah banyak membuat aktiviti dengan jayanya. Kadet Tentera kita telah berjaya meraih tempat pertama bahagian “Rondaan hutan”, tempat kedua Syarahan Agama bagi penuntut lelaki dan perempuan. Kita telah berjaya membuat Rentas
Desa, Readathon Amal, ikut serta di kejohanan Syair, Gulingtangan, Australian Chemistry Quiz Competition. Penuntut kita telah berjaya menjuarai the Best Science Presentation di RECSAM Pulau
Berbalik kepada Readathon Amal, tahun ini kita telah berjaya mengumpul wang lebih kurang $14,000 lebih. Hasil wang itu pula dibelanjakan pada memasang air-con dewan sekolah, membeli tangga guru-guru dan penuntut, membeli computer, alatan guru mengajar dan lainnya. Ini adalah usaha pentadbir, guru-guru dan penuntut bagi membaiki pencapaian kecemerlangan pendidikan pelajar. Usaha seperti ini akan kita buat bagi di tahun depan sempena 20 tahun sekolah ini ditubuhkan, insyaAllah.
Harapan saya dan pihak Pentadbir Sekolah supaya semua penuntut dan guru akan tidak kendur-kendur berusaha demi kecemerlangan pendidikan penuntut. Semua majlis prefek-prefek dan siapa saja yang terlibat menjayakan majlis ini, saya ucapkan tahniah. Harapan saya majlis juga akan dapat di buat di tahun hadapan. Di kesempatan ini saya ucapkan Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir Batin serta Selamat Hari Guru. Sekian, Wassalam.
